Driving Directions to the Ivy Palm Resort & Spa

Conveniently located at the north end of town, the Ivy Palm Resort and Spa is just minutes from many of Palm Springs tourist destinations, including the ever popular Aerial Tramway. Either by car or on foot, getting around Palm Springs is quite easy! Regardless of how you choose to get around, be sure to stay hydrated – drinking plenty of water; the desert heat in the hot summer months can sneak up on you quickly.

Driving directions from Palm Springs Airport

We are approximately an 8-minute drive from the Palm Springs Airport. Exiting the Palm Springs Airport and to avoid downtown traffic, we recommend heading west on E Tahquitz Canyon Way. Turn right at the 3rd cross street onto N Farrell Drive. Turn left on E Vista Chino and then right on N Palm Canyon Drive. Ivy Palm will be on your right, shortly after Billy Reed’s Restaurant.

Driving Directions from Cathedral City, CA (I-10 at Gene Autry Trail)

We are approximately an 11-minute drive from Cathedral City at I-10E and Gene Autry Trail. Head southeast toward N Gene Autry Trail. Use the right two lanes to turn right onto N Gene Autry Trail. Turn right onto E Vista Chino and head toward N Palm Canyon Dr for approximately 2.3 miles. Turn right on N Palm Canyon Drive. Ivy Palm will be on your right, shortly after Billy Reed’s Restaurant.

Driving Directions from I-10 and Highway 111 (coming from LA/Riverside)

We are approximately a 10-minute drive from I-10 and CA-111 (Whitewater, CA). From I-10, using the right two lanes to exit 111 for CA-111 toward Palm Springs. Continue on CA-111 for 9 miles, the Ivy Palm Resort and Spa will be on your left, shortly after Toucan’s Restaurant.

Driving Directions from Palm Desert (coming from San Diego/East Desert Cities)

We are approximately a 31-minute drive from Palm Desert. If you’re coming to Palm Springs from San Diego, via Palm Desert, we recommend heading up to I-10 and avoiding the traffic and lights on CA-111. In Palm Desert, take Portola Ave to CA-111 N. Turn right onto CA-111 N for about 12 minutes. Get on I-10 W in Thousand Palms (turn right onto Monterey Ave and then turn right to merge onto I-10 W). Follow I-10 W to N Gene Autry Trail for about 8 minutes, take exit 123 from I-10 W. Use the left two lanes to turn left onto N Gene Autry Trail. Follow E Vista Chino to N Palm Canyon Dr for about 6 minutes. Turn right on N Palm Canyon Dr. Ivy Palm will be on your right, shortly after Billy Reed’s Restaurant.

Getting Around Palm Springs from Our Hotel

Getting around downtown Palm Springs is free, fast, and easy on the Buzz Trolley. With stops conveniently located on either side of the hotel property, service is available Thursday – Sunday, 11:00 AM to 1:00 AM.

Uber/Lyft to & from Palm Springs Airport

The city of Palm Springs currently prohibits both Uber and Lyft from picking up passengers at the Palm Springs Airport (though, both are allowed to drop passengers off at the terminal). To hail one of the rideshare services, walk from the airport terminal to El Cielo Rd. As soon as you are off airport grounds, you should have no problem requesting a ride. During the high season and big events, expect up to a 10-minute wait for your driver to arrive.

Walking Directions from Downtown

We are approximately a 35-minute walk from downtown Palm Springs. From S Palm Canyon Dr at E Tahquitz Canyon Way, head north on N Palm Canyon Dr four about 35 minutes (about 1.7 miles) toward E Andreas Rd. Stay on N Palm Canyon Dr till you pass E Vista Chino.

Walking Directions from Palm Springs Convention Center

We are approximately a 30 to 45-minute walk from the Palm Springs Convention Center via N Avenida Caballeros. From the convention center, head north on N Avenida Caballeros past Ruth Hardy Park. At E Vista Chino, turn left and then head west toward N Palm Canyon Dr. Turn right onto N Palm Canyon Dr. Ivy Palm will be on your right, shortly after Billy Reed’s Restaurant.

Walking Directions TO Palm Springs Aerial Tramway:

We are approximately a 2 hour walk to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Head northwest on N Palm Canyon Dr toward W Via Escuela. At the intersection of CA-111 and E San Rafael Dr, turn left onto Tramway Road. *This is a very difficult walk up the mountain. Not for the faint of heart!
